Great hospitality! I had the brisket and pulled pork and they were both great! The Mac and cheese and potato salad on the side was also excellent. They also had a wide variety of sauces and dips to choose from.

What a gem of a place! Tucked away in the corner of a shopping center, you’d never expect to find a good BBQ joint. But we did! From the funky retro decor, to the friendly owner, to the great food, it was a great dining experience. My wife had the Sister Rosetta Tharpe Salad (I know...at a BBQ place...smh), but it also had pulled pork on top and she didn’t leave any of it in the bowl! I had the brisket plate with smoked black-eyed peas and smoked Gouda mac & cheese. You have 3 choices of sauce on the table...spicy, tangy, and sweet...I went with the spicy. Oh, and it came with a piece of really good cornbread, which I thoroughly enjoyed dunking in the black-eyed pea broth! Usually when I eat a meal, there’s one item on the plate that stands above the others, so you want that to be your last bite...so you can savor it. I couldn’t decide...it was all THAT good. I ultimately decided on the brisket, because...well...I love BBQ! But there’s a part of me that knows I would have been happy no what what I chose! Do yourself a favor and check them out! PS: Be sure to check out the bathroom! LOL

This was our 5th time! The cornbread knocked my socks off! The chicken tender & tangy ( 3 sauce options!! ) My husband is vegetarian and I’m flexitarian, we both can enjoy classic bbq flavors! Well-priced and the owners are stellar.

Oh man. I had heard this place was tasty and it absolutely is. I had the chicken plate with the black eyed peas and potato salad. I never realized black eyed peas were so tasty but the girls here do them serious justice. I was a little unsure of what to order and Quincey helped me with patience and friendliness—I appreciate that she focused on what would taste good with my sides instead of defaulting to what she herself preferred. (I wouldn’t have minded but it was very thoughtful.) The banana pudding is real fresh and tasty too. Cannot wait to come back and try the brisket...and more peas!!! I’m gonna be dreaming about those.

This is our new favorite place to get barbecue! We love that they're LGBTQ friendly and welcoming, and the food was beyond amazing! We ordered the family pack that feeds 8-10 and it definitely will. We have 4 people in our house and we will have food for days! Every meat was delicious including the soy curls. There are quite a few vegan options on the menu along with beef, chicken and pork! If you crave BBQ, this is the only place you should go.

Amazing vegan barbeque and friendly staff. I got the vegan bbq soy curl sandwich and it was great-- perfect smokiness with tangy sauce and cole slaw, and the greens hit the spot as well. The owner (?) came by with some homemade hot sauces for the greens which were fantastic. Will definitely be back for more.
